This filly is by Rio Starlight who is a 15.2 hand 1,200 lb buckskin with a great confirmation to go with his great pedigree. He is by Grays Starlight, an all-time Leading Sire producing over $10 million in cutting (NCHA), reined cow horse (NRCHA) and reining horses (NRHA).  In 2007 Grays Starlight was the Leading Sire of Broodmares sold in both NRHA and NRCHA sales and the second leading sire of broodmares sold in NCHA sales. Grays Starlight is by AQHA/NCHA Hall of Fame Inductee Peppy San Badger, the all-time number 2 sire $28 Million of performance horses. Rio is out of Smokin Kitty Rio the 1993 NCHA Open Reserve World Champion with earnings exceeding $65.000. Smokin Kitty Rio is by NCHA and NRCHA greats Smokin JoseDoc Quixote and AQHA/NRHA Hall of Fame Mr Gun Smoke.

Rio has his ROM in Reining and qualified for the 2004 AQHA world show in reining. Rio was being shown in the working cow horse events and has won multiple events, qualifying for the 2006 AQHA world show; he was also be shown at the Working Cow Horse World Show.

This filly is out of a grey thoroughbred mare by American Trust who is by Sadler Wells.  Sadler Wells was a great racehorse who was bred in the United States and raced in Europe, he is most recognized as a sire to other racehorses who have gone on to win all over Europe.  In 1984 Sadlers Wells won the Irish 2000 Guineas, Eclipse Stakes and Phoenix Champion Stakes, he was retired to stallion services in 1984.  He was the leading sire in Great Britain and Ireland a record-setting 14 times, including 13 consecutive titles.  American Trust was sold overseas to Europe for $750,000 USD but was unable to race due to a bowed tendon on the boat ride to Europe.  American Trust has been retired to stallion service and produces some incredibly fast and versatile offspring.

This filly is put together just the way you want a barrel horse, she is going to have some good size.  We intentionally crossed the heavy-boned ranch stock with this long fast thoroughbred.  She has no distinctive markings besides a star on her head, she is a classic buckskin but will likely turn grey, with her color she is sure to turn heads.  She is built for size and speed, we anticipate that she will be a gentle giant and great for any level of rider.  Her pedigree speaks for itself and has all the potential to be a super barrel horse, head horse or using ranch horse.  Breed cross of quarter horse and thoroughbred she can be registered Appendix.  If started correctly this filly could be a top performer under any discipline you see fit.  She is sweet and in a couple of short years, she'll be ready for a job where she will be used to the fullest.
